Robot Jox Movie Night

This week we watched Robot Jox.

Two men!  Two machines!  Too wild!  Too priceless!

Those robots look so bad ass, this has to be a bad ass movie. It’s science.

Robot Jox takes place 50 years after the last nuclear war. War has been outlawed and territories are fought over by giant human powered robots that battle to the death. The Jocks (who control the mechs) are now genetically “birthed” to battle, and some don’t respect the jocks of old. One of these older jocks Achilles, is the last great American hero, who has to fight Alexander from Russia for the Alaskan territory. Spectators die, “secret” weapons are given to the enemy by spies, and robots are destroyed in this sci-fi classic.

What makes this terrible movie great? Stop animation robot battles with some bad ass looking mechs.�

The actors are all over the top, and the story has some great twists that you had seen coming from the beginning. I remember the first time I watched it as a kid, and I’ll remember it this movie night also…thanks Grog.
