Handsome Jack has “bought” Pandora and essentially has sent an open invitation to would be vault hunters to try and stop his plans for world domination. Handsome Jack definitely has charisma and his knowledge of the new vault hunters, well most of them anyways, suggests he’s readied his forces appropriately. It’s a great new trailer for an already hyped to the max title.

In other news of gamers taking harmless words and making them in to spewed filth from Satan himself, Borderlands 2‘s lead designer, John Hemingway made what is being called an anecdotal statement about Borderlands 2‘s Mechromancer “Best Friends Forever” skill tree. In a comment I’m sure was well intentioned, Heminway told Eurogamer that there’s a skill tree that lets bullets magically hit their mark when the player misses, and jokingly called this “girlfriend mode”. Of course the internet blew up and Randy Pitchford had to calm the pitchfork wielding mob by saying  “Borderlands 2 does NOT have a girlfriend mode, anyone that says otherwise is misinformed or trying to stir up something that isn’t there. The future DLC Mechromancer class has a skill tree that makes it easier for less skilled coop partners (any gender!) to play and be useful.”

I honestly don’t care, people like to stir the pot, but hey, if Gearbox wants to make it easier for my wife, or friends who aren’t good at first person shooters play Borderlands 2 with me, then bravo Gearbox. All you other haters can calm down.
