Rooms for rent. Tiny Death Star review

As much as I try to act all manly and macho, ohh yee-ah!, I tend to enjoy cute, rainbow, unicorn filled video games a bit too much. I can’t help it, they amuse me, so when I saw the funny launch tutorial for the F2P mobile Star Wars game, , I had to try it out. How could you not, the opening says Episode VIII-Bit!

So you’ve seen how adorable the game is, and trust me, the cute factor is off the charts and doesn’t miss a beat, but how’s the actual game? It’s a fun and well built F2P title that does the Star Wars universe proud, unlike that shit stain Angry Birds: Star Wars.

The concept is simple, build up floors of your “tiny Death Star” by employing tenants (also known as bitizens), making money from retail and entertainment, all to fund your campaign to rid the universe of  rebel scum. A tiny elevator takes your employees, tenants, and customers to their respective floors putting you in the rolls as the bellboy, elevator operator, manager and supervisor of your tiny Death Star.

There’s plenty of comedy here, but also little hints as to where the bitizen’s dream job is. Happy bitizens means faster production of products and services, earning you more bux. I’m not going to bore you with the details, but the thing isn’t going to run itself right! Well, technically, it kind of does. Tiny Death Star does run in the background of your phone, draining its battery and making it increasingly difficult to stop playing.

Tiny Death Star is fun, simple, and has plenty of things to see and do, making it a hard game to put down. Being a huge Star Wars fanatic, its good to see a different type of Star Wars game, one that expands the universe, one humorous level and bitizen at a time. I actually started playing it to put some fine details into this short review, but I ended up turning it off because the review wasn’t coming along so well.
