Have you ever been watching basketball and said to yourself. “I wish there could be hitting?” Maybe you were watching roller derby and thought it was missing balls (seriously no pun intended…or was it)? Or while watching football you wished actual ball movement over 4 quarters lasted longer than 11 minutes. Hockey of course is the perfect sport so you don’t have time to engage your mind in other non sport related thoughts.

So your mind has wandered and then eventually arrived at a sport that combines everything, all at once, on one field, at one time. Well then my friend, you’re in luck, Super Slam Dunk Touchdown is the answer.

Super Slam Dunk Touchdown is that crazy 4 person sports game coming from Tipping Goat. Before stepping foot, or skates on the field you must first choose who you’re taking into proverbial battle, picking athletes like basketball, baseball, football, hockey players, and frisky roller derby girls. Take these warriors into battle where you can score goals, field goals, or slam dunks. I don’t exactly remember how the scoring goes (psst, it’s in the video above), but with every option available, each game becomes this melting pot of madness.

I especially like the retro 8-bit graphics combined with the traditional chiptune soundtrack. Fans of Double Dribble, Ice Hockey, Blades of Steel, and Tecmo Super Bowl know exactly what I’m talking about.

Super Slam Dunk Touchdown is available right now actually on tippinggoat.com, all be it in a very, very early alpha version, but Rick wants as many people playing it as possible, giving feedback and telling their friends. With the little time I had with it at PAX South I’d say the word of mouth is going to be very positive for this soon to be party favorite.
