Green Lantern Easter Eggs

Good Monday morning nerds. is here bright and early to share with all of you some Green Lantern Easter Eggs from the Green Lantern movie released this past Friday. If you had a chance to see Green Lantern over this past weekend, then you may have noticed a few gems that were tucked neatly away in the backdrop of the movie. The first one happens pretty early on in the movie when Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds) and Carol Ferris (Blake Lively) are doing a test flight. Here’s a clip so you can try to find it first.

Figure it out? Hopefully so because this one’s fairly easy. In the Green Lantern comics, Carol Ferris eventually becomes the villainess Star Sapphire and not only was her call sign Sapphire, but as you can see in the picture below, she had a star symbol on her helmet that’s pretty similar to the symbol on Star Sapphire’s outfit (also pictured below).

The next little surprise that fans of DC Comics will love is the inclusion of Amanda Waller (Angela Bassett). Dr. Amanda Waller appears in several DC titles and while her role in the movie was small, I’m sure we can all expect to see her again in the next Green Lantern movie. Here’s an interview from Clevver Movies with Angela Bassett regarding her role as Dr. Amanda Waller in the new Green Lantern Movie.

The third and final treat that I will point out takes place after the first few minutes of credits. Now I won’t ruin the movie for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet, but let’s just say it nearly ruined the movie for me. The only clue you get is the clip below.

Now there were at least two more of these little gems, maybe more. Please share any Green Lantern Easter Eggs you may have seen in the movie in a spoiler-free way in the comments section below. In the meantime, enjoy the video below from the Green Lantern premiere.
