Batman 66 meets The Green Hornet #1
My love for the classic Adam West Batman drives my curiosity towards the Batman ’66 series, although I did really enjoy the first issue, I haven’t managed to get myself any issues since then, but somehow when you add the Green Hornet and Kevin Smith into the equation I get off my lazy ass and gladly dive back into the nostalgia filled book.
Batman 66 meets The Green Hornet #1 brings Kevin Smith with Ralph Garman and Ty Templeton together and once again bring vintage Batman to life in the form of a comic book. I’m not even sure how I became a Green Hornet fan, it’s like I saw a rerun in the middle of the day when I was a kid, was drawn in by the opening theme song then glued to the TV seeing what thug Bruce Lee was gonna kick in the face next.
I understand Batman 66 meets The Green Hornet #1 is much more Batman than it is Green Hornet, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The Adam West Batman was such a funny and over the top show it would be a shame to lose any of that just because the more serious Green Hornet was in town. Kevin Smith and Ralph Garman do a great job capturing the shows wit and humor, a nice addition to a book I already enjoyed in the first place.
