Today thatgamecompany, developers of the much beloved and highly acclaimed flOw, Flower, and Journey have announced they are no longer exclusive to PlayStation. Journey, the fastest selling title ever on PSN raised $5.5 million from Benchmark Capital. thatgamecompany also had a 3 game contract with Sony leaving them fee-and-clear with a whole lotta extra cash in their pocket. Co-Founder Jenova Chen is optimistic of whats to come,
“We got so many emails from fans saying they wished they could play our games on other platforms, we make games for human beings, not just gamers. Young, old, men, women, and from all countries. We want to change the concept of what a game is and show society what a game can be.”
Later Chen also confirmed that do have another title in the works, although with the departure of Kellee Santiago, it’s unsure what the Santa Monica based company will add to their already impressive resume. It’s good news for any gamer, anywhere.
