So You Wanna Make Games? Jesse Schell Can Help!

Have you ever had an idea for a video game, but no idea where to start or how to do it? Well fear not my fellow nerds! Thanks to Jesse Schell and Schell Games, you can! It’s called Puzzle Clubhouse– a unique kind of community game that’s both crowd-designed and crowd-supported.

So you’ve always wanted a game where banana’s attack giant, orange gorillas, huh? Or how about a burrito that fights crime and saves the day? Well, this is where you can do it. Puzzle Clubhouse let’s YOU be the creator of each episode. You can submit your ideas, art, sound or music files…..pretty much anything that helps make a game. Then you and your peers vote, and the good folks at Schell Games will make it for you. Not feeling creative but still enjoy unique games? No worries. You can still contribute by voting!  Puzzle Clubhouse let’s you play AND vote for free. And best of all, if you DO have some idea your just itching to submit or an awesome piece of art you want to show off, for only 20 bucks a year…you can!

I had the pleasure of meeting the amazing man behind Puzzle Clubhouse at PAX 2012 in Seattle. Check out my interview with him to find out more about this very exciting, very unique game development process:

So dust off your thinking caps, sharpen those pencils, and join the Clubhouse!
