A sad aura laid waste around the gaming community today, BioShock Infinite from 2k Games has been delayed until 2013. Today Ken Levine from Irrational Games released a statement to the internets to try and calm every trolls outcry,
“ BioShock Infinite is a very big game, and we’re doing things that no one has ever done in a first-person shooter. We had a similar experience with the original BioShock, which was delayed several months as our original ship date drew near. Why? Because the Big Daddies weren’t the Big Daddies you’ve since come to know and love. Because Andrew Ryan’s golf club didn’t have exactly the right swing. Because Rapture needed one more coat of grimy Art Deco.”
After all was said and done Levine also went on to announce that the new date is slated for February 26, 2013 and that they have no plans on showing anything during this years E3. I don’t blame them, you put out one playable demo that looks sub par and people stop paying attention to the game. Sounds like a smart move to me, but it doesn’t stop the sadness in my heart and the impatience in my loins.
