ZOMG! Breaking news! So, Blizzard got hacked. President Mike Morhaime was quick to release an “Important Security Update” on Blizzards main website. In the update Morhaime says “some data was illegally accessed, including a list of email addresses for global Battle.net users” and later went on to assure users that, “based on what we currently know, this information alone is NOT enough for anyone to gain access to Battle.net accounts.”
Blizzard suggests you change your Battle.net password and change your secret question and answer when prompted by their “automated service”. Blizzard will never ask for your email address or password, so don’t give it to those nasty phishing scams out there.
