Okay, so I played with your emotions a little there but I’m not sorry. Avengers Assemble #1 hit store shelves this week and it’s the closest thing you’re going to get to seeing the movie until May. Avengers Assemble is an ongoing series that features the complete cast that will be seen in the movie. I’m not an Avengers expert, but in Avengers Assemble #1 there are a lot more Avengers hanging around Stark Tower which leads me to believe that we may see some extra Avengers in the upcoming film. I’m really just spreading rumors for fun since I haven’t heard anything about unreleased Avengers that will be in the film. And I’m pretty sure the story in Avengers Assemble #1 has nothing to do with the Avengers movie since their fighting a very powerful group calling themselves the “Zodiac” and not battling transformers. The art is fantastic in Avengers Assemble #1 and Bendis writes a damn good story, well worth picking up this new story arc from the beginning and seeing where this series runs to. With the Avengers vs X-Men “battle royal” in the near future, my love for the X-men is almost being trumped by seeing how bad ass the Avengers are in Avengers Assemble. Be sure to not miss this new story and pick up your copy today at Cosmic Comics in Las Vegas.
