“The Destruction of Wakanda by King Namor of Atlantis”

In the 8th round of fighting between the Phoenix Five and the Avengers, the assembled are still struggling to simply stay alive against the seemingly unstoppable power of the Phoenix. The Avengers have reverted to smoke and mirror tactics, but with the emergence of a portal and K’un-Lun, the battered team can further test the Phoenix’s patience.

“[Namor] is his own mutant, Scott. Always has been.” chimes Emma Frost as a frustrated Cyclops watches the rogue Namor attack the Avengers last known place of refuge, Wakanda. Captain America and the Avengers are once again backed into a corner, and this time it’s against a powerful and tyrannical member hell bent on the destruction of the Avengers. The Avengers must assemble!

Avengers vs X-Men continues to prove why it’s one of the best reads in the comic book industry right now. The story still has a lot of life left in it, and doesn’t appear to be letting up off the throttle any time soon. The Phoenix Five are beginning to show signs of a possible revolution under Scott’s inconsistent command and the Avengers are still stalling as they continue to put all of their faith in Hope.
