“You can’t have your cake and eat it too.” I don’t know where this saying originated from, and I really don’t understand why I can’t eat “my” cake. Microsoft has this same kind of idea in mind, a 4GB Xbox 360 with Kinect can now be yours for $99, but not without a contract. These Xbox 360′s are now not only in Microsoft Stores (that I didn’t even know existed), but can be purchased at Best Buy and GameStop with a 2 year contract. The 2 year contract is $14.99 a month and will get you an Xbox Live Gold membership also, acting almost as a subscription service. It doesn’t sound like too shabby of a deal if you’re strapped for cash up front, but it is only a 4GB 360 and you end up paying about $30 more in the end. Does Microsoft have something new here? I’m not sure how I feel about this venture into what sounds like a gaming subscription service.
If you owe money to collections, the repomen are going to take your Xbox away regardless. Just wanted to throw that line in there.
