4A Games released an uncut 13 minute gameplay video from this years E3 for it’s upcoming epic, Metro: Last Light. Sitting as one of my most anticipated titles of 2013, this footage only makes the wait that much more difficult. Following the ultra-realistic style of Metro 2033, Metro: Last Light looks to be improving on almost every element of it’s predecessor.
Artyom returns and you can see his confidence when he picks up the first filter nonchalantly and set’s his highly upgraded watch, and also experience his calm drift into insanity. The crank generated flashlight is back, fans of the first Metro will be familiar with the sub-machine gun and shot gun, and a few of the irradiated demons have come to scare the living daylights out of you just for good measure.
Seeing how improved the graphics are in Metro: Last Light is just breath taking. I love the hyper-realism associated with wiping a dirty and cracked mask, interactive environments you can burn with your lighter, and the heavily improved gun mechanics. It’s extremely promising to hear that real engineers are working on the weapons prototypes, assuring they look and fire as they would as if they were real. 4a Games keep impressing more and more with every little video they drop. Why must I wait for 2013!!! WHY!!!
