The time has come for me to announce my most exciting news of the day, Shadowgate on Kickstarter! Zojoi, with two members of the original Shadowgate development team, have launched their Kickstarter for a “re-imagined” Shadowgate. They strongly boast that this is not a port, and plan on adding more rooms and puzzles with gorgeous updated art, an amazing orchestral soundtrack, and still retain the original lore. Of course you’ll be able to choose the original music, for nostalgia purposes, but the new music on the preview video is just so epic. Words cannot express how quickly I backed this project, and I don’t back much on Kickstarter. Thinkgeek even entered into the drama by releasing a limited edition, for this weekend only, “Shadowgate: Your Adventures Have Ended Here” t shirt.
There’s of course a bunch of rewards for backing, ranging from cloth maps, t-shirts, to a wizard staff. The game will come out, if their $120,000 goal is reached, for PC, MAC, iOS and Android devices. You know what will happen if Shadowgate is successful right? Deja Vu. Yeah, then Uninvited. I may have just peed a little. This post is so crazy biased and I don’t even care.
Back to the Farm.
