Some big news came from Activision and Treyarch this morning, the extremely popular Call of Duty Elite, boasting more than 12 million users, will be free to the public once Call of Duty Black Ops 2 hits store shelves. There is a catch though, the free service has everything but upcoming DLC and maps. The maps will be available either individually or in the form of a “Season Pass. The Season Pass will include four proposed map updates for CODBlOps2 in 2013.
In the video below, Treyarch details the free portions of Call of Duty Elite including player tracking, clan tracking and updating, Zombies support, more Call of Duty Elite TV, and Elite spanning over social medias and devices. World domination forth coming, just include your 4000 Microsoft Points ($50) to enter.
Call of Duty Black Ops 2 will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on November 13th. CODBlOps2 will be available for Wii U at launch.
Treyarch’s Black Ops was my favorite Call of Duty since COD 4 making CODBlOps2 a little more desirable, but I think I’m done buying season passes.
