This last week, I was treated to a brand new stealth game (which I think you guys know I love at this point). Mark of the Ninja is a 2D, action/stealth game that requires players to use not only brute force but also their biggest muscle: the brain to navigate obstacles, hide bodies, defeat foes and protect your ninja clan through various levels of increasingly difficult shadowy action.
You awake in the middle of the night to the sounds of screaming and gunfire to find that your home is being overrun with private military goons and it is up to you to save your master! Armed with more ninja gadgets than you can shake a stick at, you solve puzzles like only a dark assassin would be able to. As you progress through the game, you are given access to an increasingly awesome arsenal of skills and abilities. From hanging upside down and strangling bad guys, to smoke bombs to being able to momentarily stop time to throw darts, there is almost nothing left out in the fictional lives of ninjas here. Mark provides all the fictitious awesomeness that is the ninja directly to your finger tips. Each level can be solved through multiple paths as well as various choices should you prefer being virtually invisible or destroying all opposition in your way to the goal.
Though the game doesn’t have multiplayer or co-op, it does feature leaderboards as well as multiple changing goals through each level and the levels themselves are impressively long given the game type. Mark retails for about $15 or 1200 Microsoft Points, so go grab the demo right now! Do it! And make all of Mark’s ninja powers yours today!
