Are you like us and can’t wait to scavenge the foul landscapes of Pandora? Well fret no more, well kind of fret because you can’t play the game yet, but at least you can practice building your character! Gearbox released the skill tree editor about a week ago on it’s forums, that I’m pretty sure broke immediately, but it’s back up today allowing you to see all the brand new skills you can use to annihilate the inhabitants of Pandora. All four heroes skill trees are available, and all look absolutely amazing. I’m still unsure about who I’m going to use when the game releases, but for the blog’s sake I chose Maya, the phaselock siren.
I chose to run down the “Cataclysm” tree, giving me increased weapon damage, AOE affects, damage that spreads from one enemy to another, and allows my phaselock to slow, electricute, and corrode every enemy within it. “Harmony” point? That little guy, don’t worry about that little guy. Heading down the “Motion” tree I increased my shield and recharge speed, phaselock duration, and movement speed. Putting a point into Converge, an ability that pulls enemies into phaselock, just seemed like a logical choice.
My suggestion is anyone interested in buying Borderlands 2, which you should be, needs to look at the skill tree builder and start your game plan now. Borderlands 2 will be invading your face in less than a week on September 18th.
